Membership

Club Membership

Casual membership is for players (i.e., kids, adults, seniors) who wish to come to the club for casual play. It does not include club tournaments, but includes casual games – about 100 nights a year! Club membership can be purchased on Tuesdays or Saturdays (via any Executive Committee Member).

The Willowdale Chess Club has a membership option for everyone:

  • Pay-As-You-Go (one night)* at $1
  • Seven-week membership (temporary pass)* at $5
  • Full-year membership (annual pass)* at $10

Note: no discounts for kids, seniors, or Executive Committee Members

Willowdale Chess Club membership includes:
  • Speed chess tournaments
  • Casual chess
  • About 50 Tuesday and/or 50 Saturday nights of chess! (Please note that we are closed for scheduled maintenance and on national holidays, about 4 nights a year)
* Membership does not include CFC-rated tournament play itself

Compliance with City Policies & Regulations:   
No alcohol, no violence, no harassment, no discrimination;
Keep facilities clean and safe; and
No person shall, while in any park or facility, sell or offer or display for sale:
(a) Any food, drink or refreshment;
(b) Any goods, wares, merchandise or articles including promotional material, souvenirs and novelties; and/or
(c) Any art, skill, service or work.



CFC Membership


Required for CFC-rated tournaments ($48 - for adults; $32 - for juniors).
